To Resolve Congestion in Wonokromo Area” Having pulled down the office of Joyoboyo terminal, there was first piling done by the contractor on the old office of 30th Friday. The piling process has been delayed as the redesign relates to the utilities of PDAM in the area. The agenda, held by Dishub and UPTD Joyoboyo terminal, was attended by managing director and chief of Dishub Surabaya, Eddi, A.Md. LLAJ. S.Sos. MM, the head of facility division Ir. Irvan Wahyudrajad, M.MT, the head of UPTD Joyoboyo, Radiyanto and local mass media.

The type-B terminal would be constructed with modern design and be integrated with Surabaya Zoo (KBS). In stage I, there will be terminal office and ITS (Intelligent Transport System), parking management, CCTV and controlling rooms to monitor traffic in southern Surabaya. For further development, there, in DED Joyoboyo, would be built a terminal and parking lot vertically. It is to be expected the terminal capacity would be bigger and reduce traffic congestion in the area. Dishub Surabaya plans to provide under pass (tunnel) which connects KBS to eastern Wonokromo street.

Terminal Purabaya Revitalization Stage II

Improvement of Supporting facilities for AKAP waiting room.

Revitalization to enhance customer satisfaction keeps being undertaken in Purabaya terminal. There are dozen ways done by Surabaya Transportation Department to realize the revitalization such as expanding the supporting facilities for Inter provincial/AKAP buses. Having built a two-floor building as the waiting room for AKAP, Dishub Surabaya is constructing the bridges, gates and new lanes for AKAP. The development of stage II is expected could be accomplished by this year.

According to the managing director and Chief of Surabaya Transportation Department, Eddi, A.Md. LLAJ, S.Sos, MM, �the revitalization of Purabaya is reaching stage II. Meanwhile, the piles for foundation have been installed. The next construction namely shelters, bridges and gates and new lanes for AKAP is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Eddi further explained that two-floor waiting room, bridges, and gates for AKAP are expected to ease passengers to safely choose and enter the destinations.

Additionally, the new waiting room and gates would be able to reduce illegal practices such as pandering so that safety, convenience and customer satisfaction could be improved significantly. Meanwhile, the head of facility division of Dishub Surabaya, Ir. Irvan Wahyudrajad, M.MT explained that the construction is funded by national budget/APBN. In conclusion, Purabaya terminal would be operated in accordance with airport standard.
